I Was There

Tell us some of the best Auburn games you have ever attended. Tell us a little about the game, and who you were with, that sort of thing. We will try to find some video and news about these games, and share them with everyone else.

Here's mine :)

I think the one I always think of first is the 1984 Sugar Bowl. My parents, sister, grandparent, and aunt and uncle were there. Yes, I was in the 2nd grade, but I was there. What I remember most are two things. 1- We were leading 3-0 when we went to the concession stand. My sister, who would have been about 4, stuck her tongue out at a little girl wearing a Michigan shirt. We got back to our seats to see Michigan score...when my belief in 'sports karma' began. The other thing I remember is that my sister got to stay in New Orleans with my grandparents. My parents drove me back that night and I went to school the next day!

One of the other most spectacular games I attended was the Auburn/Ark game from 2010. My parents, sister, brother-in-law, and nieces were there. We just had a really fun, great day.

Also, maybe the 2004 AU/UGA game which I attended with my BFF. Hmm. Its really hard to pinpoint, so I will leave it with that!

The 1978 Auburn/Georgia game that ended in a 22-22 tie. Auburn wore the orange jerseys and they kept Georgia from winning the SEC. I was working at the stadium that day and finally got to watch the last quarter of the game. Both teams laid it all on the field that day.

A few points of interest in this '94 Interception Game.
1. Charlie Trotman as Jim Fyffe's color man, had stated early in the game that the AU defensive backs did not have any INT's so far during the year.
2. Quentin Riggins said he had never seen anything like this in his entire career.
3. Current Auburn WR's coach Dameyune Craig played in this game.
4. 5 Interceptions, and two fumble recoveries remain one the best performances ever by an Auburn defense.

WAR EAGLE!

The Alabama game 2010. The consequences of not winning were so high and 2 come back and win and in Tuscaloosa--priceless.
