Since I've been absent our basketball programs have been busy, and mostly successful. Lets start with the ladies.
After falling behind 17 points in the 3rd quarter to Vanderbilt, the Tigers came back and won the game 64-59. The same thing happened at home when facing Tennessee.
On the night Auburn recognized "We Back Pat" the Tigers fell behind once again. Another 17 point deficit, this time in the 1st quarter, resulted in yet another come from behind victory. The Tigers rallied, then pulled away and won the game 79-61.
This game was significant in that it broke a 9 game, 8 year drought against Tennessee.
Another historic night in the Auburn Arena came just the night before when Auburn Men's Basketball coach Bruce Pearl led Auburn over LSU for his 500th career win.
