SEC Championship |
We have looked in depth at what these Tigers must accomplish to be a better football team. First we looked at the defense, then the offense.
It's the time of year when the players are working with their strength and conditioning coaches, and participating in voluntary workouts. This is where team chemistry, and trust, the two essential building blocks of any successful team are built.
We are looking at each opponent on our schedule with the eye of a Tiger. Next up are the Jacksonville State Gamecocks.
JSU has had 15 players either drafted or signed into the NFL. They are members of the Ohio Valley Conference, and have won a National Championship in 1992 under Bill Burgess.
The Gamecocks are currently coached by John Grass who has a record of 10-2. JSU ran through their conference schedule last season undefeated.
Their only regular season loss was to Michigan State by the score of 45-7. Their loss to Sam Houston State in the playoffs of the 1st round ended their season.
Not to take these Gamecocks too lightly, Auburn should be able to score early and often so the players on the Tigers depth chart can get some playing time at home.
I'll stick with the score JSU lost by in 2014.
Auburn 45 JSU 7
WAR EAGLE!
