Family Celebration: Auburn Softball Comes Home

Coach Myers vows to go back to the World Series

It was a great homecoming for the Auburn Girls Softball team this afternoon.  Jay Jacobs, Gus Malzahn and Rhett Lashlee were present to support the team today as they arrived home from Oklahoma City.

This team does remind me of the Auburn football team in 1972 and they were called "The Amazins". Of course, I knew some of those players personally since I did attend Auburn from 1972 to 1976. They played hard and never quit just like this softball team.

Clint Myers stated that he is here to stay  and he wants another World Series ring. He gave notice to the other SEC softball teams that Auburn will be a force to contend with in the future. Many of the players on this team will return so I expect to see Auburn play for another Championship ring next year.

War Eagle!
