A Special Day In Auburn

Although today is a special day for Auburn football, there are some other Auburn sports teams doing exceptionally well as we head into the Christmas break.

The Auburn Women's basketball team has been on a hot streak lately, winning five in a row. The latest victim, Southeastern Louisiana, fell 80-46 just last night at the Auburn Arena. Coach Terri Williams-Flournoy stated:

"We looked a little rusty. But at the end of the day, we still turned them over 31 times, we got to the free-throw line, but it was a team effort. We had four people in double figures..."

This years version of Women's basketball has a great combination of speed, athleticism, and height. They pass the ball extremely well too. It's early, but these ladies look like a team that can go places in the postseason.

Auburn's Men's basketball team went on the road to Murray State and came home with a very hard fought 81-77 victory. This team is amazing. Sitting at 10-1, the best start since 1999, this team has not had the height advantage in any game this season.

The Auburn football coaching staff has been dealing with an early signing period. This is the first of these for FBS Division schools. More on this in a later post.
