Reflections

Looking back is always easier to do than trying to peer into the future. So, with that in mind, let's look at some memorable moments from this past season.

Trovon Reed will get the team Honor Award from this writer for wearing the jersey number of his fallen team mate LaDarious Phillips during the Homecoming game against New Mexico State. The fact that he scored a touchdown while doing so, is a memorable moment from 2012. A few mentions are due for the efforts that these men displayed while trying to wade through arguably one of the worst seasons in AU football history.

Tre Mason for his reaching the 1,000 yard mark in rushing. Considering how inept this offense appeared at times, I think this says a lot about this young man. His effort wins Tre the Offensive Player of the Year from this writer.

Jonathan Wallace for his valiant efforts, and making his way into the starting position.

So, here now is the "Play of the Year" for your viewing pleasure starring the 2012 Defensive Player of the Year, Mr. Daren Bates.
